Question: “I have read your daily practice. You recite a sutra as your daily practice. it would be impossible for me to recite the Lotus in it’s entirety every day. Are there sutras of shorter length you recite? As always thank you; your feedback is immensely helpful. Namo amituofo.”
I won’t lie, it’s not often that I chant a sutra during my daily practices. Only because I read a chapter from the Lotus Sutra every night. However, in the book Chanting from the Heart by Thich Nhat Hanh (where this daily practice came from), there are several short, 1-2 page sutras – which are the sutras I would chant if I decided to do so.
buddhasutra.com is a great resource for finding almost the complete collection of Buddhist sutras. Though most of the sutras are Pali (coming from the Theravada traditions), nonetheless, it’s a great site to find some great sutras and print them out so you can read or chant them.
This site has a lot more Mahayana sutras that the other site is missing.
Smile and be well!
